A care home in Leatherhead opened its doors to the local community for a very special event.
Residents and team members at Care UK’s Liberham Lodge, on Rectory Lane, were joined by the people of Leatherhead for the home’s latest music festival, Lodge Fest.
Festivalgoers put on their dancing shoes and let loose to pop classics from throughout the decades thanks to a special DJ set. Throughout the day, residents and guests competed in garden games, entered the raffle, and enjoyed the complimentary food and drinks.
Guests enjoyed a BBQ prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef. Making sure everyone stayed hydrated and in the party spirit, the home also had a garden minibar, complete with drinks for all ages.
Commenting on the festival, Liberham Lodge resident, Delia said: “This is probably one of my favourite days! The atmosphere, the entertainment and the food were splendid, plus to share the day with so many makes it even more special!
Jagpal Singh, General Manager at Liberham Lodge, said: “After the success of our Lodge fest last year, we were excited to open our doors to the community once again to celebrate the festival for a third time.
“The event was thoroughly enjoyed by residents and offered a great opportunity for everyone to come together to enjoy the festivities. The whole day was packed with smiles and laughter. We are so glad for the incredible turn out and are already looking forward to our next summer event!”
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Liberham Lodge incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the home has been configured to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
